I spent 6 weeks in India recently. few images from the Kumbh Mela and Holi festival. Also a few images of Tigers that I photographed in Ranthambore for my book on the tigers.
Great images John. It must a great feeling to experience tigers in the wild. I still have fond memories of a trip to the Sariska national reserve in Rajasthan some 15 years back. Even though I never managed to see one the sheer excitement of their presence was memorable enough. Look forward to your book.
The tiger photos are INCREDIBLE! You have captured such private moments of these noble animals. And then there's more. The portraits, the festival. They take my breath away. WOW!
Worked for the United Nations, NY as a photographer for 20 years. Retired in 1998.
Now I am freelancing for magazines and publishers. Clients include, Olympus, Lexar, Lowepro. " The Vale of Kashmir" book was released in 2008, published by WW Norton.
